Man Dies after Car Plunges into Pond in Orlando FL
A driver died Sunday after he lost control of his car and it plunged into a pond behind an Orange County home in Meadow Woods Florida. Thomas K. Hughes, of Hopkinton, R.I., died in the crash, which happened around 11 a.m. in the 1500 block of Antigua Bay Drive. Police said Hughes’ car crashed into two parked cars before it entered the water. It was reported that his son tried to help, but the car sunk too fast and rotated onto its roof. The car was recovered just after noon, about 25 feet under water. Hughes was transported to Florida Hospital Kissimmee where we was pronounced dead.
