Andrea Armas Represents Victim Pushed by Orlando Police Officer

The woman suing an Orlando police officer for pushing her down the stairs and then later having her thrown in jail took the stand on Tuesday. The city of Orlando was dismissed in the federal case on Tuesday, but the lawsuit against the officer, Fernando Trinidad, continues.

In the federal suit, Asprilla accuses Trinidad of malicious prosecution to conceal his own wrongful conduct. Her attorney Andrea Armas said the Orlando Police Department delayed sharing video evidence with the state attorney’s office.

The criminal charge against Asprilla was dropped after the state attorney’s office became aware of the video.
